Miniature Chair, Wiggle Chair
Frank Gehry, 1972
Developed by the Vitra Design Museum in Germany, these miniature chairs are now sought-after collectibles. Exploring the building potential of corrugated cardboard, architect Frank Gehry glued sections together in right-angled layers. He called the resulting material "edgeboard," and cut it like sculpture. This led to his ground-breaking series of stable cardboard furniture, named Easy Edges, which includes the Wiggle Side Chair.
Made in Poland. Size: 5.75h x 2.5w x 3.75"d
